A New Approach

Traditional public speaking courses often rely on outdated methods that can feel stiff, uncomfortable, and disconnected from real-life struggles with fear and anxiety. Many programs focus solely on speaking techniques or exposure, ignoring  the deeper emotional and mental blocks that prevent you from truly owning your voice.

That's where FTF is different. 

Doug's approach combines cutting-edge neuroscience, hypno-psychotherapeutic techniques like Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness based thinking to help you eliminate fear at the root.

Unlike other fear of public speaking courses, we don’t use out of touch instructors who have spent their entire careers giving slide show presentations, nor do we rely on extroverted actors who’ve never faced the same social anxieties you do. Instead, the course is led by Doug Womack, someone who has been where you are—once suffering from social anxiety, feelings of inadequacy, stage fright, and the overwhelming fear of public speaking.

Our approach combines neuroscience, mindfulness, fun, improv and hypno-psychotherapeutic techniques, which means our workshops aren’t about sitting in a classroom, taking notes, and watching endless lectures. We believe in practical exercises, guided interactions, and active participation. If you’re expecting a passive, lecture-heavy course with lots of theory but little real-world application, this program might not align with your learning style.

People Who Aren’t Open to a Holistic Approach
If you’re not open to using fun improv-inspired exercises, mindfulness techniques, or neuroscience-backed visualisations to address your fear, then this program may not resonate with you. Our approach is integrative, combining mind, body, and voice. It’s not a technical, “how-to” course on speaking—if you’re not open to working on the mental and emotional side of public speaking, you may not get the most out of it.
